For a teacher, there is no greater joy
Education begins when a person wants to learn something, as opposed to when a person is made to learn something. I often find that students entirely understand a concept only when they find an opportunity to apply it in the real world. Because it is only when they get to see this concept come to life before their eyes, do they really and truly enjoy what they have learned. Perhaps what students enjoy is the chance to explore the depths of their knowledge. There is only so much that can be imparted to a student in the bounds of a classroom. In the words of Ernest Dimnet ,"Children have to be educated, but they have also to be left to educate themselves".
